Happy International Women's Day!
Today, March 8th marks the 100th anniversary of International Women’s Day and LearnVest Daily has decided to honor women with a blogpost called Wise Money Advice For Women Over 50 which focuses on women and financial literacy. They asked women age 50+ a most important question - What would you tell your 20-year-old self about money if you had the chance?
From being independent to procrastination to saving and spending - you'll read financial words of wisdom from women who have clearly mastered their relationships with money.
On the DailyWorth blog, M.P. Dunleavy wrote a piece where she shares the updated report from the Commission on the Status of Women - Women in America: Indicators of Social and Economic Well-Being . Dunleavy reveals that when looking at education and earning power - women have made strides - but she puts the spotlight on the fact that women still are in lower paying jobs than men.
And finally, for a perspective on how women differ from men in terms of one of my favorite topics, retirement planning, check out a blogpost I wrote a few months back where I listed the 4 differences in how men and women plan for retirement.
Note: International Women's Day is an official national holiday in Europe - the U.S. really needs to get with the program.
